Volunteer

Ancaster Baseball is 100% volunteer run.  It has depended on dedicated youth and adult volunteers to organize and manage our league(s) and tournaments ensuring robust development programs & a great baseball experience and for children of all ages.  Our objective is a memorable baseball experience for every child.

Why Volunteer?

The Ancaster Baseball Association encourages every parent to volunteer and enjoy the time with your child in a engaged and exciting environment.  The Association is always looking for responsible and engaged individuals who can support all areas of  Ancaster Little League, Ontario Baseball and Girls Softball.  The organizations objective is to build good citizens. It is a program focusing on teamwork, good sportsmanship and leadership, help to prepare today’s youth to become tomorrow’s leaders.

Who Can Volunteer?

Volunteers aren't jus parents of players.  Everyone can volunteer in some capacity.  We welcome everyone to join us and contribute any way you can.  We are happy to train you, so no experience is required.  Anyone in our community who is willing to volunteer may apply.

What Can I Volunteer To Do?

No experience is required to become a volunteer. Most of the volunteer opportunities require little or no training. The League will provide you with any necessary training (as well as support and encouragement), as deemed necessary. The best volunteers are those who are able to bring added enjoyment to the game simply be being themselves.  What you see during league games is a small sample of what our volunteers contribute.  You can volunteer to help in virtually any aspect of Ancaster Baseball.

Volunteer opportunities always exist in areas such as:

Coaching, ManagingGuest CoachingScoreboard & Announcing, Tournaments or even join the League Executive

How Do I Become a Volunteer?

Parents can check the volunteering box on their child’s registration. If you are not a parent and would like to volunteer, take a minute to fill out the form below. 

On rare occasions, Ancaster Baseball Association, through your local Board of Directors, may deny individuals the privilege of volunteering for reasons, past or present, that may be detrimental to the positive development of young people, other volunteers, and/or Ancaster Baseball Associations. When you apply to become a volunteer, you give permission to Ancaster Baseball  the right to conduct necessary background checks.
